Portrait of Nathan Fillion in “Firefly”

I’m pretty behind here on posting the latest projects, so it’s catch-up time. Here goes!

As a Christmas gift for a dear friend I worked up a sketch of Nathan Fillion as Captain Mal from the popular, cancelled-after-1-season-show, Firefly. It was completed at the end of November in time for the holiday!

Your friend is very fortunate indeed to receive such a gift. You can see in Fillion’s eyes (more than in the original photograph) great insight into Captain Malcolm Reynolds, especially after the events of the Serenity movie: Me and my crew are beat up, bruised, missing those we’ve lost – but still flying. And that’s enough.
