Almost ever since I walked by a magazine rack in 2000 displaying an Entertainment Weekly cover photo of Jim Carrey holding a rose with a lovey dovey look on his face and blood dripping down his fingers, I knew it’d make a fun portrait. I finally found it online and used it as a source for freehand-drawing this. It’s all graphite with the rose and blood in Prismacolor colored pencil.
