Hey friends,
This one’s a bit scary to write—but also a bit exciting.
After years of pouring hours (and blood, sweat, and tears) into each of my pencil portrait originals, I’ve made the decision to raise my prices on all original detailed portrait drawings.
This isn’t about being fancy or trying to slap a bigger price tag on a piece of paper. It’s about honoring the time, care, emotion, and effort that go into each portrait I create. Most of these drawings take 15 to 30 hours—or more—and they come from a place of passion and love. And yet, for far too long, I have to admit I’ve probably been underselling them.
Like, majorly underselling them.
For reference: my original 9×12 drawings—highly detailed, freehand portraits—have been priced around $350–$400. But when you break down the hours, that doesn’t even come close to minimum wage, let alone something sustainable for a working artist. After a lot of reflection, I realized it’s time for these pieces to carry the value they truly deserve.
💥 What’s Changing:
Starting soon, all new original drawings will be priced at $500 and up, depending on size and complexity. This brings my pricing more in line with the time and care I pour into each piece.
But before the change kicks in, I wanted to offer something special…

I’ve also added quite a few new (and never-before-listed!) pieces to the store for this event.
🙏 Thank You
If you’ve followed my art journey for any length of time—whether you’ve collected a piece, shared a post, or just sent a kind word—thank you!! You’ve helped keep this passion alive. And if you’ve ever considered adding one of my originals to your wall, now’s a great time to grab one before the price shift.
Thanks for believing in this work and for helping me keep the pencils moving across the page. I’m thankful for the opportunity with each new drawing.
