In 2011, after I started getting back into drawing regularly, I did a freehand graphite drawing of Tony Shalhoub as the OCD detective, Adrian Monk. Over time, though, I felt pretty unimpressed by the work I’d done on it, so I decided, after rewatching the show again and drawing a new portrait of him, to revisit this drawing. I took the original, erased some parts, added more detail, reworked some things, and the drawing above is the end result. I like it so much more now. 🙂 You can see the original 2011 version below…
