OK – crazy story time. My in-laws take my son out to dinner almost once a week, and three years ago they were in a local diner and my son was telling his grandparents his desire to go into acting. Who overheard this? None other than The Fugitive and LOST actor/director Daniel Roebuck – who is actually from our area originally. He approached my son, said he wanted to talk because he might have future film roles for someone like him and gave him his card. I followed up with Daniel and we all met at a local Panera for lunch to get acquainted. Our son was only maybe 12 at the time, so we wanted to be careful about the whole acting world, but Daniel was incredible to get to meet.
The night before our lunch, I decided to whip up a drawing on toned tan paper of Daniel in one of our favorite TV shows – LOST! And he was gracious to autograph it for me. 🙂
