Before I started drawing almost daily again, I worked on a Jack Sparrow portrait using the image on a birthday party plate as reference (tis true!). Since then, I’ve pushed myself with detail and taking my time with drawings and such. I decided it was high time to try my hand at a newer Jack Sparrow portrait. This one was done entirely freehand with a photo on my iPad as reference this time. And, for the record, it’s the first drawing I ever worked on on a vacation… while sitting on a beach. 🙂
