I drew this picture of Sixpence None the Richer’s Leigh Nash on special charcoal paper using strictly graphite pencils. This marked the last time I’ve used this type paper. I have found it frustrating and hard to work with. This sketch was for my older brother’s girlfriend’s (now his wife, as of late 2000) birthday, who really admired Leigh, being a singer herself. The reference used was a picture downloaded from Squint Entertainment’s website. As a side note, the left side (her right arm) was considerably rushed because I regretfully ran out of time. (Note to visitors: a good lesson in procrastination…). It still irritates me to look at that some ten years later…
