Pencil Drawing of Jerry Seinfeld

Seinfeld-copy

This drawing, which I worked on a few hours a night from July 30 to August 7, was a new challenge. I won’t reveal just why, but let’s just say… it wasn’t the usual draw-a-picture-of-a-picture kind of portrait. I was pretty pleased with how it turned out (although I think the drawing actually looks better than this scan of it, but oh well). I used all graphite pencils, not the Ebony pencil (I’ve been trying to get dark darks without it lately). I’ve been on a big Seinfeld kick lately, going through all the seasons in a row watching them while I draw, and I felt it was time for Jerry to be added to the mix. 🙂
