Leigh is an incredible singer and artist, and a just an all-around wonderful person. I had drawn Leigh – as singer of the band Sixpence None the Richer – decades ago for my sister-in-law, who is a big fan, and then again a couple times in an attempt to create a drawing of Leigh I’m personally happy with. I never could do it, though. However, I saw this promo image for a new project of hers and I just loved the look of the water around her body and the way it affects the color in the image… and I just really wanted to try to draw it. I’m happy to say that I did end up liking it! And in March 2023, when I went to Nashville to see her open for one of my favorite bands, PFR, I had the great pleasure of getting her to sign it. 🙂
