Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man in “Avengers: Infinity War” Freehand colored Pencil and Pastel Drawing

I love Iron Man, Avengers, the MCU – it’s all gravy to me. Sure, they’re not perfect movies, but a lot of them are excellent, and I truly believe they achieved something very special with the first run of movies that ended with Avengers: Endgame. Earlier in 2019, I decided it was time to draw a new Iron Man portrait. And, for this one, I used a combination of colored pencils, marker… and pastel. I tried out pastel for the first time on the background as a try at something new, and while it was super messy to work with and rather tricky, I did like the vibrancy of the color. Only the background is pastel, however; the rest is colored pencil. We love you 3000, Tony!
