Pencil Drawing of Eddie Cantor

Eddie-Cantor-Roman-Scandals

When I was pretty young, my grandfather introduced some great classic movies and actors to me. My parents did as well, but I have vivid memories of my grandfather frequently quoting and talking about Eddie Cantor. Eddie was huge in the 30s for his films AND musical career, being one of the biggest celebrities in his day. I’ve tried to do drawings of Eddie many times in recent years, but not only is it hard to find really good, high res pics of him online to draw, but I’ve just had a really hard time nailing his likeness right in my drawings.

Not long ago, I found a photo from his 1933 film Roman Scandals, one of my favorite comedies and films by Eddie. Hope you guys like it! I’m mostly happy with how it turned out. 🙂
