Here’s another freehand pencil portrait that took forever to finish. Again, if you’ve read some of my blogs, you’ll know I tend to randomly start drawings that seem to interest me in the moment, even if I know it won’t necessarily be a crowd-pleaser, so to speak. This is a rougher sketch of Gwyenth Paltrow that I started one night and kept setting it aside for a long time before I finally buckled down and finished it. I hate not finishing drawings, but sometimes other ones just take priority over ones and get shelved for, sometimes, extended periods of time. Right now I have a short stack of started drawings that lie unfinished that I’d like to eventually get to.
