Truth be told, colored pencil is outside my comfort zone. However, I see other artists do INCREDIBLE things with it all the time, and it makes me want to push myself to get better at it. I decided I want to try my hand at more colored pencil work and to try some portraits entirely in colored pencil. Unfortunately, I’m still a little too broad with my strokes and not able to get the detail fine enough where it doesn’t just look like I colored something with crayons. However, I hope to work on improving that (God willing 🙂 )

At the encouragement of a coworker, I went back and finished the rest of his blaster on another piece of paper and digitally combined them on the computer. You can now get prints of that version here!
